Description

The Executive Assistant will provide high-level administrative support to the Executive Department under the supervision of the City Manager.
Examples of Duties
  • Performs a variety of miscellaneous administrative duties for the City Manager such as answering phones, typing, research, and filing
  • Schedules, maintains, and updates appointments and/or calendar(s) on a daily basis
  • Maintains confidentiality when exposed to sensitive material and information
  • Knowledge of the City's facilities, functions, and programs so appropriate information can be relayed accurately via phone, email, written correspondence, or in person
  • Assists with the publication of brochures, calendars, letters, posters, news releases, flyers and related communications relevant to a particular program or special event as needed
  • Establishes a positive working relationship with all City departments
  • Performs a variety of miscellaneous administrative duties for the Executive Department such as answering phones, typing, research, and filing
  • Works effectively with outside agencies and responds to requests as appropriate
  • Works effectively with the City Commissioners; responds to their inquiries and requests as needed; offers administrative support as needed
  • Assists the City Clerk, as needed, with the execution of documents and contracts approved by the City Commission
Typical Qualifications
  • High School Diploma required;
    Associates Degree or higher preferred
  • Certified Administrative Professional (CAP) is preferred
  • Three-to-five (3-5) years of administrative experience in an office environment
