** IBEW Job Qualification**## ##
** Position:
** Telecommunications Technician Assistant##
** EDUCATION
* * Associate Degree in Electronics, Telecommunications or Computer Science, or two years of combined education and experience (civilian or military technical school covering digital, analog, and communication theory).##
** EXPERIENCE
* ** One or more years working with electronics, computers, or telecommunications.##
** LICENSES AND/OR CERTIFICATES
*** Class “D” Florida State Drivers license
* FCC General Radio/Telephone Operator License##
** SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & ABILITIES
*** Ability to read and interpret electronic schematics, functional diagrams, and assigned work/construction packages.
* Ability to navigate PC (personal computer) programs and software required. Essentially be PC literate.
* Ability to learn state of the art test equipment such as OTDR, FTDR, TIMS, communication service monitors, oscilloscopes, network and data analyzers, specialty test instruments, etc.
* Ability to work in a team environment (strong interpersonal skills, customer service skills, and ability to work with others).##
** PHYSICAL
* ** No physical limitations.  Ability to carry required test equipment and tools.
