The Heavy Truck/Machinery Repair Shop Tech is responsible for performing preventative maintenance and repairs on heavy trucks and equipment, as well as diagnosing and repairing diesel/gas engines and heavy equipment.

Responsibilities:

* Repair drive trains, electrical systems, hydraulic system and other components on heavy trucks and equipment.

* Utilize diagnostic equipment to isolate mechanical failure and troubleshooting.

* Identify and solve mechanical and electrical issues such as motors, lights, air brakes, etc.

* Perform preventative maintenance on heavy trucks and equipment.

* Operate vehicles to diagnose problems and to verify that the vehicle is repaired.

* Adhere to strict safety requirements and procedures.

Desired

Qualifications:

* Minimum of 2 years as a heavy duty/diesel mechanic required

* Ability to physically stand, bend, squat, and lift to 40 pounds

* Ability to listen, follow directions and a strong desire to enhance skills

* Ability to work independently or as a part of a team

* A high school diploma or GED is preferred, but not required

* Flexible schedule with strong attendance is required
