Drama Assistant – RVMS

This extracurricular position is available for the 2026-27 School Year and begins on September 8, 2026.

The position is part‑time and will pay a stipend (or hourly rate matching the stipend) to contracted teachers, hourly employees, and non‑RSD staff.

A coach/sponsor will mentor, guide, and support students in their athletic or extracurricular pursuits by fostering personal growth, teamwork, and skill development.

• Provide supervision of students during all aspects of the program
• Develop training programs, provide instruction and feedback
• Foster team cohesion
• Plan competitions and contests, including out‑of‑season activities
• Collaborate with school administration
• Ensure compliance with regulations
• Promote sportsmanship and character development in an encouraging and inclusive environment
• Proactively communicate schedules and information to parents and administration
• Adhere to the standards of conduct outlined in District Form 5002 Code of Conduct – Coaches, Sponsors, and Chaperones

• Knowledge and experience in the sport or activity
• Leadership skills and ability to set an example for players
• Effective communication skills to inspire players and aid improvement
• Availability to work nights, holidays, evenings, weekends, bad weather, and travel for competitions
• (Head Coaches) Willingness to provide off‑season training and practice following MSHSAA Guidelines

• AED/CPR/First Aid certified (preferred)
• Annual MSHSAA training requirements
• Excellent professional references
• Clean criminal and child abuse and neglect records check
• High school graduate, at least two years prior

• Standard office equipment
• Sport/Activity equipment

• Requires sitting, talking, hearing, walking, standing, seeing, and reaching
• Must be able to lift or move up to 10 pounds
• Requires working non‑traditional hours including evenings and weekends
