Schedule
:
Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., alternating 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. shifts, with rotating weekends. Reliability and a positive, team-oriented attitude are essential.
Fox Creek – Wildwood is hiring a full‑time Inventory Specialist to manage and maintain the hospital’s inventory systems and ensure our team has the supplies and products needed to deliver exceptional patient care. Our ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, organized, and passionate about supporting a high‑functioning veterinary team.

- Handle purchasing activities in compliance with clinic policies and within budget, including managing purchase orders and tracking backorders and inaccuracies.
- Maintain appropriate levels of quantity on hand, reorder levels, and reorder quantities in the practice management software system.
- Oversee all receipts of inventory items and maintain the barcoding system with the support of the inventory assistant.
- Manage stock rotation following the “first in, first out” method and coordinate returns of overstock, short‑dated, or outdated items to vendors for credit.
- Assist with weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual inventory counts, including DEA/BNDD substance logging and audits in accordance with legal requirements.
- Assist in updating inventory costs and pricing in software to reflect accurate product markup or margin, while identifying waste and minimizing product duplication.
- Audit patient visit lists (PVLs) and open transactions to identify missed charges, incomplete entries, and open prescriptions that need to be restocked.
- Document KPIs and captured charges, guide team members as needs arise, and work with the supervisor to assess discount trends and reasons.
- High School Diploma required; 2‑year College Degree or RVT preferred.
- Knowledge of veterinary services, protocols, and products preferred.
- Ability to lift 30 lbs unassisted and work on a computer for extended periods of time.
- Strong communication skills and ability to problem‑solve effectively with the medical team.
