The Purchasing Coordinator is responsible for administrative support for the Purchasing department. This position willassistwith order processing, vendor communication, data entry, and issue resolution, among other responsibilities as dictated by the Purchasing Manager.
Responsibilities:Assisting with the purchasingofmaterials,equipment and subcontractor services.
Reviewing plans,specifications and contracts to ensure that the correct items and quantities are purchased.
Collaborating with project managers and engineers to ensuretimelydelivery of materials.
Establishing andmaintainingrelationships with key suppliers and vendors.
Resolving vendor disputes, including product or pricing issues.
Communicating product changes to sales,construction and subcontractors.
Data entry, filing, and other administrative tasks for the department.
Assisting with field personnel training onpurchasingprocedures.
Qualifications:
Must beat least 18 years of age
Associate or bachelor’s degree in relevant field required
General knowledge of purchasing procedures
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and familiarity with purchasing or inventory management systems
Ability to work well with individually or as a member of a team
Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
