Principal Systems Engineer

Technology Partners is currently seeking a talented Principal Engineer - Systems.

Do you have experience leading complex engineering projects using Microsoft platform, cloud architecture, and security technologies?

You will join the Workforce Technology Team (WTT) as a senior engineering leader responsible for developing, delivering, and supporting critical technology solutions used by thousands of employees worldwide. You will collaborate closely with product teams to define engineering roadmaps, set technical standards, and ensure the operational health of core platforms. In this role, you will architect scalable distributed systems, lead initiatives to adopt emerging technologies, and mentor senior engineers to foster technical excellence.

This full‑time position offers an opportunity to work remotely within the United States, with occasional on‑site presence in St. Louis for meetings and events.

• Develop and implement scalable solutions across frontend and backend services to support the organization’s operational needs.
• Design technical architectures and reusable frameworks that can be leveraged across multiple teams.
• Lead the technical strategy and architectural decisions for core customer service and internal business platforms.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to deliver innovative, secure, and high-performance technology solutions.
• Drive the adoption of emerging technologies that improve user experience and operational efficiency.
• Mentor and develop senior technical talent within the organization.
• Establish comprehensive security and monitoring practices to safeguard enterprise applications.
• Communicate complex technical concepts effectively to stakeholders at all levels, including executive leadership.

• 11+ years of software and infrastructure engineering experience with demonstrated technical leadership.
• Proven expertise in Microsoft product set across platform, endpoint, and security solutions.
• Strong background in security technologies such as MFA, SSO, MIM, OTP, with a security‑first mindset.
• Experience designing distributed, scalable architectures and high‑throughput systems.
• Hands‑on experience with cloud platforms, particularly Azure, and modern web technologies.
• Demonstrated success in leading technical strategy for customer‑facing and internal platforms.
• Ability to communicate complex solutions clearly to technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or related field preferred.

• Experience in real‑time service development and end‑point systems.
• Familiarity with enterprise security practices and comprehensive monitoring solutions.
• Prior leadership roles involving cross‑functional teams and organizational influence.
