Senior Accountant

Overview

LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a Senior Accountant to join a team in the transportation and logistics sector. This hybrid role is based in Montgomery County and will play a key part in ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance.

• Perform general ledger accounting, including journal entries and month-end close.
• Handle intercompany reclassifications and ensure proper G/L coding for all transactions.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
• Conduct account reconciliations for balance sheet and income statement accounts.
• Assist with internal and external audits as needed.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve accounting issues and improve processes.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in the transportation or logistics industry.
• Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and financial statement preparation.
• Experience with intercompany transactions and reconciliations.
• Proficiency in G/L coding and account analysis.
• Sage Intacct experience is a plus.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a hybrid environment.

$90,000-$115,000

Benefit offerings for full-time employment include medical, dental, vision. PTO is offered on an accrual basis. Paid Sick Leave where applicable by State law. 401K with 3.5% Match.
