Job Summary
Geisinger is seeking a BC/BE Radiation Oncologist to join a well‑established cancer program at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center (GWV) in Wilkes‑Barre, PA. Geisinger offers early career and experienced radiation oncology physicians the opportunity to develop their career and be part of a physician‑led organization that collaborates with surgical oncology, palliative medicine, hematology‑oncology, pathology, diagnostic radiology, and behavioral medicine to deliver quality cancer care.
Geisinger provides an intellectual environment with access to the Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine, over 50 graduate medical education programs, and fellowship programs in hematology/oncology and palliative medicine. The health system is awarded NCI‑NCORP designation and is committed to clinical trial participation. Physicians may:
• Get involved in educational programs at GCSOM and engage in active learning, longitudinal clinical experiences, and community engagement.
• Participate in the MyCode Community Health Initiative, with >275,000 patient genomes sequenced for research and clinical applications.
• Conduct clinical or informatics research in collaboration with Geisinger and partner organizations.
