Ed.D. Program Director
King’s College, Wilkes-Barre, PA, seeks its inaugural Ed.D. Program Director, a position in line with the College’s strategic commitment to continued development of outstanding programming in the field of education.
The Ed.D. Program Director, in collaboration with the Education Department, will administer the doctorate in Educational Leadership program. Administrative responsibilities include programmatic leadership, recruitment, assessment, retention, advocacy, and academic success responsibilities. Reporting to the Associate Dean of Education, the Director will oversee the program while balancing online teaching, scholarship, and service.
The successful candidate will possess an earned doctorate in education, experience supporting dissertation work and online teaching, and an understanding of current issues and future directions in educational leadership. The candidate will demonstrate attention to detail, an innovative spirit, collaborative and problem-solving skills, and an ability to garner the respect of peers. Evidence of professional accomplishments commensurate with senior faculty rank (associate professor or professor) is expected, as is strong support of the Catholic identity and mission of King's College, and commitment to the principles of diversity, fairness, and public service.
