Our busy Project Management/Construction Services department is seeking a motivated Staff Draftsperson/Designer to join our Wyoming Valley (Wilkes-Barre, PA) office. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with two or more years of experience in structural and architectural drafting and design, with a strong focus on construction detailing and documentation. You will support projects from initial design through construction, gaining valuable exposure as you see your work come to life.

- Hotels, entertainment venues, and mixed-use properties
- Tenant fit-out and renovation projects
- Learn and maintain Isett drafting and documentation standards
- Perform as-built surveys and prepare as-built drawings in AutoCAD and Revit
- Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and design team members
- Support schematic design and design development phases
- Prepare construction drawing sets, including:
- Floor plans
- Framing plans
- Sections, elevations, and detailed construction drawings
- Coordinate drawings across multiple disciplines to ensure accuracy and quality
- Identify and assist in resolving design or detailing discrepancies
- Support projects during construction, including shop drawings, RFIs, and change orders
- Assist project managers throughout all phases of design and construction
- Demonstrate a willingness to grow professionally and assume increasing responsibility
Required Qualifications
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit
- Experience producing structural and architectural drawings
- Solid understanding of construction methods and document development
- Familiarity with building codes (or willingness to learn)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Technical degree in drafting, architectural drafting, or related coursework
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based environment
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to obtain PA Act 34, 114, and 151 clearances
This position involves moderate physical activity. The employee must be able to:
- Sit and walk for extended periods
- Navigate active construction sites
- Survey existing buildings and sites
- Travel to client locations as needed (sites may be under construction and not ADA compliant)
Work is primarily performed in Isett’s Wyoming Valley office, with occasional field assignments.
