- Perform civil engineering design and technical analysis for commercial, industrial, institutional, residential, mixed-use, and energy land development projects
- Prepare and review site development plans, grading plans, utility plans, and construction documents
- Design and analyze stormwater management systems, drainage and conveyance infrastructure, erosion and sediment control measures, site grading and earthwork, roadway and access improvements, and utility infrastructure systems
- Coordinate permitting efforts and prepare applications for municipal, county, and state review agencies
- Support project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and project delivery activities
- Collaborate with clients, contractors, regulatory agencies, and internal project teams
- Conduct site visits and field investigations as needed
- Assist with proposal preparation, technical reports, cost estimates, and project documentation
- Mentor junior engineers and technical staff while continuing professional development
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program
- 4-8 years of experience in civil engineering with a focus on land development and site design
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification required
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred or in progress
- Experience preparing land development plans and permit applications
- Knowledge of site layout and design, stormwater management, grading and drainage design, utility infrastructure, erosion and sediment control, and local and state permitting processes
- Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Experience with hydrologic and hydraulic modeling software is a plus
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while contributing effectively to project teams
Demonstrates expertise in civil engineering design and technical analysis for land development projects, including site layout, stormwater management, and utility infrastructure. Proficient in project planning, permitting processes, and mentoring junior engineers.
