Physical Therapist - UPMC Washington's Children Therapy Center
Join our passionate team at UPMC Washington's Children Therapy Center, where we help children grow stronger through movement and play! We’re seeking a caring and motivated Physical Therapist to provide personalized, family-centered care in a supportive environment. Responsibilities:
Communicate patient's status to the referring physician and other healthcare team members.Serve as a clinical instructor for physical therapy students, residents, and fellows in a specialty area of physical therapy.Perform physical therapy assessments, reassessments, and treatments. Supervise physical therapist assistants in treating pediatric patients referred by a physician.Develop a plan of care, including goals and treatment plans, based on physician referral, injury/illness nature, and assessment results.Modify or adjust the plan of care based on patient's response and changes in patient status.Rotate through treatment areas as needed to meet organizational needs.Maintain written documentation for all services, including initial assessments, follow-up visits, and discharge summaries, following department standards.Provide verbal and written home instructions to patients and families when applicable.Schedule patients to meet or exceed productivity standards while ensuring quality care.Preferred Qualifications:
At least one pediatric clinical rotation or preferably one year of pediatric experience.
Schedule/Travel: Hours are 8:30AM-7:00PM Monday-Thursday and 8:00AM-6:30PM on Fridays. The position involves working 8- or 10-hour shifts with travel between McMurray and Washington offices, potentially on the same day.
