  • Location: Wilkes-Barre, PA 18711 — Wyoming Valley, Luzerne County (Pennsylvania MRI jobs)
  • Assignment Length: 13 weeks (March 23, 2026 – June 21, 2026)
  • Setting: Hospital – Magnetic Resonance Imaging Unit (Level 1 trauma)
  • Shift: AM, 3 × 12-hour shifts per week (Fri–Sun, 7:00am – 7:30pm)
  • Hours per Week: 36
  • Holidays: Yes — may include 12-hour overnight shifts
  • Call: None
  • Position Type: On-site travel MRI technologist
Compensation
  • Estimated Weekly Salary: $2,240–$2,400/week
Qualifications & Certifications
  • Minimum 2 years of MRI technologist experience in a Level 1 trauma hospital
  • Experience operating Siemens 1.5T or 3T MRI systems (Aera, Sola, Skyra, Vida)
  • Graduate of an accredited Specialty Training Program in Radiologic Technology (required)
  • Current ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification (ARRT(MR) preferred)
  • Current BLS certification (AHA)
  • Active state licensure where applicable for MRI technologists
  • Preferred: experience with trauma imaging protocols, contrast administration, PACS/RIS workflows, and strong patient communication skills
Responsibilities
  • Perform high-quality MRI scans in a fast-paced hospital environment, prioritizing patient safety and diagnostic image quality
  • Operate Siemens 1.5T/3T MRI equipment (Aera, Sola, Skyra, Vida) safely and efficiently
  • Prepare patients for MRI exams, screen for contraindications, and provide compassionate communication throughout the imaging process
  • Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient care and accurate imaging studies
  • Maintain accurate patient records, document procedures in PACS/RIS, and adhere to hospital protocols and safety standards (MRI safety, contrast administration)
  • Support weekend and holiday coverage as scheduled for this travel MRI technologist assignment
