IT Project Manager, Systems Analyst, IT Consultant
BCTG’s client is seeking an IT/SAP Project Manager with a strong manufacturing background for a 6+ month contract-to-hire role. This position involves overall project management for solution engineering and development projects within the IT department. The primary responsibilities include planning, scheduling, tracking projects, and managing risks and scope effectively.
The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational and interpersonal skills, working collaboratively with IT managers, solution architects, engineers, and business partners. The role requires managing multiple concurrent projects, resource organization, risk escalation, and stakeholder communication.
Key responsibilities include developing project documentation such as schedules, status reports, risk logs, and issue logs, and proactively analyzing project costs, resources, and timelines.
Major Responsibilities:
- Self-managed with minimal oversight after training
- 7+ years of project management experience in manufacturing, PMP preferred
- 5+ years managing enterprise systems projects (SAP, MES, Quality & EHS)
- Experience managing IT projects in Waterfall and knowledge of Agile methodologies
- Detail-oriented with proper documentation and timely communication
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Leading meetings with up to 15 participants
- Creating and maintaining detailed project schedules
- Leading small to medium IT projects
- Interacting effectively across all organizational levels, including executive management
- Managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Adhering to PMO documentation standards (charters, schedules, RACIs, stakeholder registers)
