KeHE Distributors is a natural, organic, specialty and fresh food distributor. This position focuses on warehouse safety and compliance and supports the company philosophy and culture of safety.

• The Warehouse Safety Manager is responsible for managing processes and protocol in the area of warehouse safety and compliance, with success defined by maintaining high safety compliance and reducing accident/incident frequency.
• Work with operations management to ensure organization safety compliance.
• Evaluate safety programs, provide recommendations and implement approved changes.
• Conduct site safety inspections and audits.
• Facilitate, track and communicate post-accident/root-cause analysis and corrective/preventive action processes.
• Maintain and monitor completion of all safety-related forms and processes.
• Champion safety programs (Harm-to-None) and promote the principle that all accidents are preventable.
• Manage safety training schedule, conduct safety training, and ensure proper documentation is compliant.
• Facilitate safety activities including safety committee meetings, review accident/incident trends and present safety opportunities.
• Support corporate safety initiatives including implementing and enforcing company safety rules and the Powered Industrial Training Program.
• Work with HR to manage workers’ compensation claims and return-to-work programs, including regular file reviews with insurance carrier and Corporate Safety.
• Oversee monthly random drug testing program with a third-party vendor.
• Other special projects and duties as assigned.

• Bachelor’s Degree
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office

• Government regulations and safety compliance; strong working knowledge of OSHA, Cal/OSHA, DOT and related requirements.
• Ability to plan and prioritize work to meet commitments.
• Focus on continuous risk improvement and efficient processes.
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication; bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
• Ability to influence, high energy and enthusiasm; team player and self-starter.
• Positivity, integrity and responsibility.
