Job Summary
Geisinger offers an Inpatient RN position with a hiring incentive of up to $26,000, a $41.41 minimum hiring rate, higher rates for experienced individuals, and up to $7 shift differentials for evening, night, and weekend shifts.

- Complete assessments per scope of practice and unit standards.
- Address the physical, psychological, social, cultural, and spiritual needs of patients and families throughout the continuum of care.
- Formulate, coordinate, and provide a plan of care per unit standards, including patient/family education, family needs assessment, and discharge planning with the interdisciplinary team.
- Provide direct patient care, including treatments, medications, and diagnostic studies, following policy and procedure.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of nursing interventions and revise the plan of care based on patient response.
- Collaborate proactively with physicians, ancillary personnel, and other team members to resolve and facilitate patient needs.
- Problem‑solve, troubleshoot, and take corrective measures in equipment handling and care.
- Participate in unit‑based decision‑making on evidence‑based practice utilization.
- Act as a team member working toward unit and organizational goals, accountable for unit and system metrics.
- Engage in patient quality and safety education programs and activities aimed at improving departmental and organizational quality and safety.
Hours:
7:00 a.m. – 7:30 p.m.; every other weekend and holiday requirements.
- Graduate from a Specialty Training Program – Nursing (Required)
- Licensed Practical Nurse
- Basic Life Support Certification
