Job Summary
Community Care Express is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for Express Care Mt Pleasant, Scranton and Express Care Kistler, Wilkes Barre urgent care clinics.
Job Duties
The experienced advanced practitioner must be able to treat patients of all ages and will work at both Community Care Express Mt Pleasant, Scranton and Community Care Express Kistler, Wilkes-Barre clinics.
These clinics qualify for the
* National Health Service Corps (NHSC) Loan Repayment Program

which is up to $75,000 for a two-year service commitment.
Community Care, affiliated with Geisinger, offers Express urgent care clinicians who diagnose and treat common medical problems including sore throats, earaches, sinus infections, flu, urinary tract infections and more. They also provide routine health exams, immunizations, screenings and wellness services. Some clinics may also include X-ray, EKG, IV hydration, and phlebotomy.
Advanced Practitioners receive the following benefits:
$10,000 Recruitment Forgivable Loan - a two-year work commitment
Comprehensive medical/retirement benefits starting the first day of employment
Paid malpractice insurance
Relocation assistance for qualified candidates
CME funds ($3,000/year) and paid 10 CME days/year
EDUCATION/
EXPERIENCE:
Advanced Practitioners must be able to treat patients from age one to adults.
Six months of primary care, emergency medicine, urgent care or critical care of professional practitioner experience is required.
Work Schedule:
Rotations of weekends and some holidays required (Work 7 out of 14 days)
The ideal Express Care candidate will:
Take responsibility and ownership of their site. Possess strong interpersonal skills. Be self-motivated. Have excellent prioritizing and multi-tasking abilities Have urgent care experience and the ability perform procedures such as suturing and splinting.
Education
Bachelor's Degree-Physician Assistant (Required), Master's Degree-Physician Assistant (Preferred)
