Qualified RN candidates are invited to apply for an inpatient night shift nursing position at Geisinger.
Job Summary- Inpatient RN on a night shift schedule at GWV/GSWB Emergency Medicine & Observation Unit in Wilkes-Barre, PA.
- Full-time position with 7 p – 7:30 a shift; every other weekend and holidays required.
- Hiring incentive up to $23,500 for eligible candidates, with a minimum hiring rate of $41.41 and shift differentials up to $7.

- Complete assessments, care planning and documentation per unit standards.
- Address the physical, psychological, social, cultural and spiritual needs of patients and families.
- Provide direct patient care including treatments, medications and diagnostic studies.
- Evaluate nursing interventions and revise the care plan based on patient response.
- Collaborate with physicians, ancillary personnel and interdisciplinary team to resolve patient needs.
- Problem‑solve, troubleshoot and correct equipment handling issues.
- Participate in unit-based decision-making and evidence-based practice initiatives.
- Contribute to team goals, unit and system metrics, and quality and safety programs.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (preferred);
Graduate from Specialty Training Program – Nursing (required). - Licensed Registered Nurse – State of Pennsylvania.
- Basic Life Support certification.
- Experience in inpatient nursing, preferably in emergency medicine or observation units.
- Preceptor, teamwork, interpersonal communication, clinical skills, organization and communication.
