EMT, LPN

• Perform physical examinations and establish medical histories to determine donor suitability
• Build rapport with donors to ensure customer satisfaction
• Maintain donor and staff confidentiality
• Inform donors of potential hazards
• Provide donor education regarding general health
• Counsel donors regarding unacceptable test results
• Evaluate and manage donor injuries and adverse events
• Evaluate illness and medication histories to ensure continued donor suitability
• Assist with employee training
• Administer the employee Hepatitis Vaccine program

• Educated and currently certified/licensed in the state of employment as a Registered Nurse, Licensed Practical Nurse, Licensed Vocational Nurse, Paramedic, or EMT
• Current CPR certification required
• Ability to stand and sit for up to 2 to 4 hours per day each
• Ability to bend and twist the neck for 1 to 2 hours per day
• Frequent hand movement and precise coordinated finger, hand, and wrist movements
• Ability to squat, crouch, or sit on heels occasionally
• Ability to lift 15 lbs. routinely and up to 50 lbs. maximum
• Hearing acuity essential
• Correctable near and far vision and color perception/discrimination
• Ability to communicate and understand spoken and written instructions
• Ability to work independently and follow oral or written instructions
• Ability to perform varied tasks under changing conditions
• Ability to handle sensitive information and work with diverse groups
• Ability to work in a plasma center with exposure to biological fluids, infectious organisms, electrical equipment, and temperatures below 32°F
• Ability to use required personal protective equipment

Demonstrates expertise in performing physical examinations and evaluating donor suitability while ensuring confidentiality and customer satisfaction. Proficient in donor education, counseling, and managing adverse events in a plasma center environment.
