Registered Nurse – Acute Care Orthopedic Telemetry Unit

Role

Inpatient Registered Nurse responsible for providing compassionate, comprehensive patient care within a clinical environment.

• Conduct assessments and develop individualized care plans addressing physical, psychological, social, cultural, and spiritual needs.
• Deliver direct patient care including treatments, medications, and diagnostic procedures.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of interventions and adjust care plans accordingly.
• Collaborate with physicians, interdisciplinary team members, and ancillary personnel to meet patient needs.
• Participate in unit-based decision-making, quality improvement, and safety initiatives.
• Coordinate patient education, discharge planning, and family support throughout hospitalization.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and promote adherence to policies and standards.

• Graduate from a Specialty Training Program in Nursing;
  Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Strong assessment, clinical, and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team and participate in evidence-based practices.

The role involves working in private and semi-private rooms with a patient population experiencing a range of acute and chronic conditions, including orthopedic and surgical care. The position requires availability for evening, night, and weekend shifts, with responsibilities focused on delivering high-quality, patient-centered care while actively participating in safety and quality initiatives.
