Licensed Practical Nurse – Advanced Acute Care Stroke Unit

Position Overview:

Provides direct patient care in an inpatient setting as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), contributing to assessments, treatments, medications, and diagnostic studies in accordance with policies and scope of practice. Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to address physical, psychological, social, cultural, and spiritual needs of patients and families throughout their hospitalization. Reinforces patient and family education, discharge planning, and promotes safety and satisfaction.

Acts as a mentor and preceptor for new staff and students, participating in unit-based decision-making and performance evaluations. Ensures compliance with organizational policies and maintains compassionate, evidence-based care.

Graduate from a recognized nursing training program is required. Demonstrates the ability to coordinate care, evaluate intervention effectiveness, and communicate effectively with team members. Prioritizes patient safety and exhibits professionalism and compassion in all interactions.
