Nurse Practitioner Physician Assistant – Neurology

This position seeks a neurology physician assistant or nurse practitioner to join the neurology team at a medical center in Wilkes Barre, PA.

The role primarily involves outpatient clinic work, with potential inpatient duties if needed.

The ideal candidate will:

• Perform initial patient assessments and triage based on presenting conditions.
• Monitor and discuss lab and procedure results with physicians, communicate plans to patients and families.
• Assist with follow-up arrangements and answer patient and family calls to assess needs.
• Discuss treatment plans with physicians and relay information to patients.
• Handle preauthorization processes for medications and diagnostics.
• Screen patients and perform tasks aligned with their qualifications.
• Candidates must have completed an ARC-approved physician assistant program, be certified or eligible by the relevant certifying bodies, or hold an approved nurse practitioner program certification and be eligible for state licensure.
