Psychiatric CRNP

Purpose of this position:

Under administrative and clinical guidance provides professional preventive, therapeutic, restorative, and maintenance medication services for patients. This care is provided in a variety of community settings for both children and adults.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Conduct thorough psychiatric assessments to diagnose mental health conditions while utilizing advance knowledge to evaluate the overall health and well-being of patients, considering physical, psychological and social factors.

Prescribe and monitor psychotropic medications to treat acute and chronic mental health illnesses

Develop individualized, comprehensive treatment plans that incorporate best and leading practices into treatment interventions

Order and interpret diagnostic tests as necessary

Document patient care in electronic medical record and ensure compliance with regulations and standards

The ability to work independently under a collaborating physician

One year work experience as a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner Medical experience, with adults and mental health experience preferred, but not required
