Registered Nurse – Oncology Unit

Role Overview

The Inpatient Registered Nurse provides comprehensive patient care in a clinical setting, addressing physical, psychological, social, cultural, and spiritual needs throughout hospitalization.

Conduct assessments, develop and coordinate individualized care plans, administer treatments and medications, evaluate intervention effectiveness, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, troubleshoot equipment, and participate in quality and safety initiatives.

Graduate of a nursing specialty training program;
Bachelor’s degree preferred. Must demonstrate compassion, strong communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and clinical judgment skills. Experience in oncology and specialized training in chemotherapy and bone marrow transplant care are advantageous.

Manage patients across varying acuity levels, participate in clinical orientation, and work towards optimal patient safety and satisfaction.

Typically performed in a hospital setting, with responsibilities aligned to unit standards and policies.
