LPN – Practical Nurse – Acute Care Orthopedic Trauma Unit

Role:

Inpatient Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) responsible for delivering direct patient care, including treatments, medications, and diagnostic procedures, while collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care.

• Contribute to assessments, care planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient needs.
• Address physical, psychological, social, cultural, and spiritual aspects of patient and family care.
• Reinforce patient and family education, discharge planning, and support throughout hospitalization.
• Evaluate effectiveness of nursing interventions based on patient responses.
• Collaborate proactively with physicians and care team members to meet patient needs.
• Participate in unit-based decision-making and evidence-based practice initiatives.
• Mentor and precept new staff and students, supporting professional growth.

• Graduation from Specialty Training Program in Nursing (required);
  Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (preferred).
• Ability to work in a clinical environment, adhering to policies and procedures.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to work under a Temporary Practice Permit until licensure is obtained.
