About the Role

As a QC Technician
, you will help protect the quality, safety, and integrity of our products throughout the manufacturing process.

We are looking for a QC Technician to join our Quality & Food Safety team at our Three Little Pigs – House of Bricks facility in Wilkes-Barre, PA.

What You’ll Do
Monitor Product Quality
  • Perform routine in-process quality and food safety checks throughout assigned production areas.
  • Verify product weights, temperatures, labels, packaging, coding, and other established specifications.
  • Identify, document, communicate, and elevate out-of-specification conditions and process deviations.
Maintain Accurate Quality Records
  • Complete required quality documentation and hourly shift logs accurately and on time.
  • Maintain records that are complete, legible, accurate, timely, and traceable.
  • Identify and report missing or incomplete documentation.
Support Food Safety & Compliance
  • Monitor compliance with USDA, SQF, HACCP, GMP, allergen control, sanitation, and applicable food safety requirements.
  • Verify required preventive controls, critical limits, and quality checks within assigned responsibilities.
  • Promptly elevate food safety, regulatory, sanitation, or product-hold concerns.
Inspect, Sample & Test
  • Collect product samples and perform routine inspections and testing using approved methods and equipment.
  • Support the identification, segregation, and documentation of nonconforming or potentially affected product.
  • Maintain sample, testing, and inspection records.
Partner Across the Operation
  • Work closely with Production, Sanitation, Maintenance, Warehouse, and Quality teams.
  • Support investigations, corrective actions, verification activities, and continuous improvement.
  • Maintain organized quality work areas, records, tools, and testing equipment.
What We’re Looking For

Education and Experience
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Previous experience in quality control, food manufacturing, laboratory, production, or a related environment preferred.
  • Experience in a USDA-regulated food manufacturing facility is a plus.
Knowledge & Skills

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Understands or is willing to learn GMPs, HACCP, allergen control, sanitation, food safety, and quality principles.
  • Can accurately perform measurements, inspections, sampling, and basic calculations.
  • Can read and follow product specifications, quality standards, and SOPs.
  • Has strong attention to detail and can recognize and communicate deviations.
  • Demonstrates strong communication, teamwork, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Is comfortable using computers for data entry and quality documentation.
  • Takes ownership and understands the importance of accurate records and timely escalation.
