Position Overview:

Our client is seeking a driven and results-oriented

Carrier Solutions Representative to join their team. In this key role, you will be responsible for securing high-quality carrier capacity and driving profitability by meeting and exceeding margin and revenue goals. You’ll work directly with a network of outside carriers, negotiating rates and ensuring that freight is moved efficiently and cost-effectively.

The ideal candidate is motivated, has an outgoing personality, and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, with the ability to adapt and problem-solve.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carrier Procurement & Negotiation: Secure quality carrier capacity by negotiating competitive rates and terms with outside carriers to meet margin requirements and maximize profitability.
• Network Management: Develop and maintain a reliable network of outside carriers, ensuring freight is moved in the most cost-effective and efficient manner.
• Customer Satisfaction: Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by overseeing timely pickups and deliveries, maintaining service levels, and ensuring carriers meet safety and reliability standards.
• Revenue & Margin Growth: Actively contribute to achieving or surpassing margin and revenue goals by securing and retaining high-quality carriers and freight.
• Freight Volume Expansion: Support the growth of freight volume from existing customers through excellent customer service, communication, and problem-solving.
• Relationship Management: Build and foster strong relationships with both customers and carriers, maintaining open lines of communication to ensure a seamless process.
• Collaboration & Teamwork: Work closely with internal teams to optimize freight solutions and contribute to the overall success of the business.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
• Experience: Prior experience in customer service, account management, or negotiating is a plus but not mandatory.
• Industry Knowledge: Experience with flatbed and dry van carrier procurement is a bonus, though not required.
• Mindset: Must be highly motivated, results-driven, and able to think strategically with a "big picture" mentality.
• Work Ethic: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, balancing multiple priorities effectively.
