Job Overview – Materials Handler (Wilkes‑Barre, PA)The Materials Handler is essential to ensuring patients receive their medications in a timely manner. As part of the Mail Order Pharmacy team, you will have an important, uniquely rewarding role putting your Materials Handler skills and experience to work in a closed‑door pharmacy setting. You will excel in a complex, high‑impact dispensing role and positively impact the lives of others.
You will work alongside a team of talented individuals in a concerted effort under the direct supervision of Lead Technicians and Pharmacy Supervisors. The ideal candidate will possess high levels of reliability, accuracy, professionalism, team orientation, and problem‑solving skills.
As a Materials Handler working in the backend of the pharmacy, you will get an opportunity to impact the lives of thousands of patients who rely on critical medications to be shipped from our facility! You will work with a driven team of self‑motivated professionals to meet individual and team production goals.
Key responsibilities include:
- Receiving, storing, and replenishing products throughout the warehouse facility.
- Moving new shipments of pharmaceutical product to be stacked in their appropriate storage spaces.
- Pulling product to be shipped with the appropriate carriers and inspecting products for damages.
- Maintaining inventory accuracy using scanners and other handheld devices.
- Potentially operating manual lifts, reach trucks, and transfer equipment in order to move product throughout the facility.
This role allows you to engage in an active environment while working to develop individual production skills. During your time at CVS as a Materials Handler you will be exposed to multiple job functions, giving you the chance to apply for future promotional opportunities and advance your career.
Schedule- Wednesday 3 pm – 1:30 am
- Thursday 3 pm – 1:30 am
- Friday 2 pm – 12:30 am
- Saturday 12 pm – 10:30 pm

- Regular and predictable attendance.
- Work mandatory overtime/extended work week when needed.
- Ability to remain upright on the feet, particularly for sustained periods of time, and move about on foot to accomplish tasks.
- Ability to utilize equipment that elevates over 15 feet.
- Ability to occasionally lift/reach/twist/turn/bend/stoop/walk with up to 55 lbs. to move objects.
