Drop-In Center Specialist

STATUS:
Full Time; 37.5 hours / week

SCHEDULE:

9:00 AM to 5:00 PM;
Monday through Friday

LOCATION:

Wilkinsburg

Milestone Centers, a subsidiary of Partners For Quality Inc., is a nonprofit, community-based human services agency supporting individuals with behavioral health challenges and intellectual & developmental disabilities in communities throughout Western Pennsylvania.

Responsibilities

Responsible for providing support to management, peers and participants of a Behavioral Health Drop-In support center.

• Demonstrates and reflects a commitment to the mission and values of Milestone by serving others with respect, dignity and compassion.
• Serve as the primary point person of contact for drop-in callers, participants, visitors, and guests including, but not limited to, collecting attendance and identifying resource needs.
• Be supportive of volunteer initiatives assigned by supervisor.
• Responsible for assisting with food bank orders-pick-up and distribution (as needed)
• Responsible for supporting peer-related conflict resolution and for reporting crisis or conflict situations to the Assistant Director of Empowerment Programs.
• Responsible for promoting peer support, self-help and empowerment.
• Responsible for assisting with participant groups and conducting participant surveys.
• Responsible to do clerical work as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

CASH

Qualifications

• Preferred High School Graduate and 2 or more years’ experience in social services with a basic understanding of behavioral health issues.
• Valid Pennsylvania driver’s license
• Act 33 and 34 clearances and FBI clearance, if applicable

Minimum Compensation

USD $15.00/Hr.
