Junior Audio Production Technician

Embark on a dynamic career as a Junior Audio Production Technician with the Tŝilhqot’in National Government in Williams Lake, BC. Support radio and podcast production while amplifying Indigenous voices in the community.

This permanent, full-time role focuses on audio recording, editing, and production techniques. You will engage in content research, event coverage, and guest coordination to create meaningful programming. Your work will highlight news and culture from Indigenous communities across Canada, powering informative and engaging broadcasts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Record and edit audio content for various media formats

• Research and identify Indigenous-focused podcasts and media

• Assist in setting up and troubleshooting audio equipment

• Host podcasts and conduct interviews on relevant topics

• Create community announcements and updates

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Understanding of Tŝilhqot’in Language is an asset

• Basic audio production knowledge preferred

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Interest in Indigenous cultures and current affairs
