As a Level A Forest Technologist under the Director's supervision, you’ll manage vital components like contractor negotiations, GIS mapping, and operational reporting. Your insights will support education and outreach related to forest management, contributing to the development of sustainable practices al candidates will have a strong foundation in forestry, emphasizing respect for diverse perspectives.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage contracts and oversee post-harvest activities
• Contribute to pre-harvest planning and implementation
• Deliver technical guidance to field education programs
• Monitor safety compliance and resolve contract issues
• Train staff and supervise temporary forestry workers
Requirements:
• Undergraduate degree in a relevant field
• Minimum two years of relevant experience required
• Commitment to promoting equity and inclusion
• Knowledge of British Columbia forestry regulations
• Valid Class-V driver’s license required
