Water and Waste Utility Operator

Position: Water and Waste Utility Operator 2
Become a vital part of the Municipal Services team as a Utility Operator 2 in water and waste management. Embrace a full-time shift role, performing critical maintenance and repairs.

In this key position, you will support the Water/Waste Division by executing maintenance, repairs, and manual labor tasks. Your experience in water distribution and sewer systems will be crucial as you ensure safety and efficiency in operations, completing tasks under the guidance of the Municipal Services Director. Emergency response duties are included.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct manual labor for construction and repair tasks

• Perform maintenance on water and sewer systems

• Identify utility lines before excavation work

• Manage crew inventory for maintenance projects

• Ensure adherence to safety protocols at work sites

Requirements:

• Grade XII minimum education level

• Valid Class 3 BC Driver's License with Air Endorsement

• 3 years of municipal maintenance experience

• Water Distribution and Wastewater Collection Level II certifications

• Strong communication skills for teamwork and reporting
