Temporary Heavy Duty Mechanic

Join Dawson Road Maintenance as a temporary Heavy Duty Mechanic in Williams Lake, BC. Utilize your technical skills to ensure our fleet of heavy-duty equipment operates efficiently.

This full-time position reports to the Superintendent, Mechanical and requires a well-trained technician. Candidates should be safety-conscious, self-motivated, and proficient in diagnostics and repairs for a variety of trucks and machinery. The role may involve some travel across the province, ensuring you can contribute effectively wherever needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct vehicle inspections, diagnostics, and repairs

• Follow safety policies and procedures diligently

• Maintain a clean and organized work environment

• Communicate effectively with management during repairs

• Work collaboratively with the team on tasks

Requirements:

• Heavy Duty Journeyperson Certificate required

• Experience in Automotive Mechanic is a plus

• Grade 12 education preferred

• Valid B.C. Driver's License, Class 5 minimum

• Willingness to acquire a CVIP Inspection license
