Position: Utility Operator 2 in Municipal Services
Drive maintenance and repair in water and waste with the City’s Municipal Services. Full-time Utility Operator 2 needed for manual labor and compliance with safety guidelines.

The Municipal Services Department seeks a Utility Operator 2 to oversee crucial water and sewer systems. You will perform repairs, conduct maintenance, and track inventory items removed from the warehouse. Experience in municipal utility operations is essential along with effective team collaboration and safe work practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct manual labor in construction and maintenance work

• Perform repairs in water distribution and sewage systems

• Determine locations of utility lines before excavation

• Ensure correct inventory management for project work

• Foster safety practices within the crew and job site

Requirements:

• Valid Class 3 B.C. Driver’s License with Air Endorsement

• Level II certification in Water Distribution and Wastewater Collection

• Minimum of three years’ experience in municipal water maintenance

• Proficiency in workplace tools and equipment

• Ability to communicate effectively in English
