Bookkeeper

We are looking for a Part Time Bookkeeper to aid the COO and Comptroller with accounting and bookkeeping related tasks, including corporate accounting for a privately owned franchise company and bookkeeping for clients. Strong familiarity with computers and software is ideal. Attention to detail and ability to work well with others is a must.

• Help manage accounting operations including A/R, A/P, GL
• Help the comptroller prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements
• Research accounting issues
• Carry out month-end and year-end close process
• Data entry into Quick Books Online
• Weekly client meetings
• Client Quick Books file management
• Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
• Additional bookkeeper duties as necessary
• Bill paying

• Working experience in the accounting field
• Knowledge of accounting and finance experience
• Knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
• Experience with creating financial statements
• Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year end close process
• Excellent accounting software user and administration skills
• Good computer and technology skills - ability to learn new software
• Peachtree/Sage experience is a plus
• Quick Books experience is a must
• Background screening required before hire

• Thursdays are a must
• Other days to be determined

Part Time

$18.00 - $22.00 per hour

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)
