Bookkeeper & Tax Return Preparer

Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Bookkeeper & Tax Return Preparer to join our team on a part-time basis. The ideal candidate will possess an understanding of federal and state income tax regulations and financial accounting, with the ability to assist clients with bookkeeping tasks as well as preparing business and individual tax returns accurately and efficiently. This role requires excellent analytical skills, customer service aptitude, and proficiency with accounting and tax preparation software.

You will play a crucial role in ensuring on-time delivery of financial and tax reporting while providing exceptional service to our clients.

• Prepare and file federal and state tax returns for business and individual and clients.

• Perform monthly accounting and bookkeeping tasks for business clients.

• Review client financial records and documents to ensure accuracy and completeness.

• Provide guidance to our clients on accounting and income tax matters.

• Utilize income tax preparation software to prepare and file client tax returns.

• Conduct thorough analysis of client financial scenarios to identify potential deductions or credits.

• Maintain current knowledge of applicable accounting standards and income tax regulations.

• Collaborate with team members to enhance marketing strategies for attracting new clients.

• Deliver exceptional customer service to our clients.

• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.

• Prior public accounting and/or tax preparation experience is highly desirable.

• Familiarity with various accounting software packages, including Quick Books.

• Excellent analytical and quantitative reasoning abilities.

• Usage of a 10-key calculator with speed and accuracy for efficient data entry.

• Customer service orientation to build and maintain client relationships.
