Automotive Diesel Technician

Carter Myers Automotive Group is seeking an experienced Automotive Diesel Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel vehicles in our busy Automotive department. You will perform advanced diagnostics, engine and drivetrain repairs, brake and suspension work, and preventive maintenance while following safety and quality standards. In our collaborative, customer-focused culture, you'll work closely with service advisors and teammates to deliver accurate repairs and clear communication.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair diesel engines, drive trains, and related systems
• Perform advanced diagnostics using scan tools and test equipment
• Complete brake, suspension, steering, and exhaust repairs
• Conduct preventive maintenance and safety inspections
• Document all repair work accurately in the repair order system
• Communicate findings and repair needs to service advisors and customers
• Follow dealership, OEM, and safety standards at all times
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and care for shop tools
• Participate in ongoing technical training and certifications
