Qualifications &

Experience:

• Previous experience as a paraprofessional, classroom aide, or in a similar support role
• Strong interest in Special Education or individualized instruction
• Ability to build rapport and communicate effectively with students, teachers, and parents
• Adaptability and patience when addressing diverse learning styles and abilities
• Understanding of confidentiality and professional boundaries within a school setting
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional coursework in education or child development is a plus

Responsibilities:

• Work one-on-one with a designated student during the school day, assisting with assignments and daily activities
• Support the implementation of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) as directed by teaching staff
• Encourage effective participation in classroom tasks and foster an inclusive, respectful environment
• Help monitor student progress and communicate observations with the supervising teacher
• Assist with encouraging independence and self-advocacy skills
• Facilitate positive peer interactions and reinforce classroom expectations

This contract role offers competitive hourly pay between $17 and $22, reflecting your experience and dedication to student support.
