Process Engineer II Or III
At Printpack, we believe our people are our greatest competitive advantage. We are a leading packaging manufacturer committed to innovation, quality, and continuous improvement. We're looking for a driven, technically sharp Process Engineer II or III to join our team and make a measurable impact on our manufacturing operations.
What You'll Do
You'll serve as a key technical leader on the floor and in the boardroom — solving complex manufacturing challenges, driving continuous improvement, and building a culture of process excellence.
- Troubleshoot & Optimize — Serve as the go-to technical expert for complex press operation issues and advanced process optimization, including support of continuous manufacturing operations, development of production recipes, and process standardization to improve quality, waste, and productivity.
- Drive Data-Driven Decisions — Leverage SPC, DMAIC, Six Sigma, DOE, and root cause analysis methodologies to analyze trends, reduce process variation, and identify quantifiable cost-savings opportunities that improve operational performance.
- Lead Projects — Manage cross-functional improvement initiatives from concept through sustainment across Quality, Maintenance, Production, and Product Development, including equipment evaluation, selection, commissioning, startup, and capital project execution.
- Standardize Processes — Develop and maintain SOCs, SOPs, operating procedures, and troubleshooting documentation to ensure consistent, reliable manufacturing performance and regulatory compliance.
- Collaborate Cross-Functionally — Partner with Sales, Product Development, and Operations to support new business onboarding, technology changes, new process development, and product/tooling design improvements.
- Support R&D — Lead trials for advanced process improvements and new technology implementation
- Develop Others — Mentor junior engineers and operators; deliver impactful training programs
- Manage Assets — Oversee equipment reliability, predictive maintenance programs, repair/replace decisions, equipment upgrades, and maintenance strategies that improve uptime and operational effectiveness.
- Drive Operational Excellence — Analyze plant performance, recommend cost-reduction initiatives, support budget performance objectives, and coordinate continuous improvement efforts that deliver measurable business results.
