Show Operations Technician

seasonal position

busch gardens offers a seasonal position for the summer season. Immediate hires are desired.

participate as an integral contributor to the entertainment operations department.

• execute the operation of show products in disciplines such as audio, multi‑media, master electrician, lighting board operator, spot operator, deck hands, fly rail, and dressers.
• collaborate with entertainment production/operations, theming, and theatrical services teams to achieve project goals and objectives.
• work with outside contractors.
• maintain entertainment facilities and equipment.
• adhere to show operations schedules and required documentation.
• follow project timelines, park and departmental safety guidelines.
• participate in operations department training programs.
• perform other duties as assigned that support park and departmental goals.

• proven technical skills and strong communication abilities.
• positive attitude, teamwork, multi‑tasking, and collaboration skills.
• self‑driven and dedicated to delivering exceptional guest service.

• minimum 18 years of age.
• associates or ba in technical theatre, theatre arts, or equivalent professional experience preferred.
• at least 2 years of professional technical entertainment experience preferred (rigging, carpentry, costumes, electrics, sound, and sets).
• experience with hand tools, theatrical equipment.
• must be able to work at heights up to 75 ft.
• must be able to lift and move 50 pounds.
• must be able to perform outdoor work in temperature extremes and overnight shifts.
• valid u.s. Driver’s license preferred.

$16.50 hourly.
