Universal Member Services Representative - New Town

1st Advantage Federal Credit Union1st Advantage Federal Credit Union is currently seeking a full‑time Universal Member Services Representative to support our busy New Town Branch. Scheduled hours will be 40 hours per week between 8:00 a.m. to 5:45 p.m. Monday through Friday and rotating Saturdays (twice a month) 8:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
Role OverviewThe Universal Member Services Representative role is responsible for performing a broad variety of member service functions such as opening/closing accounts, sales referrals, and handling member servicing issues. This position will also support the teller line functions by assisting members with their financial transactions involving paying and receiving, handling of negotiable instruments and appropriate cash management. The dual role supports the sales initiatives of the branch by offering credit union products and service, cross‑selling, and referring loans and business partner services accordingly.

- Open new accounts including all checking, savings, certificates, trusts, business, and organizational accounts; confirm documentation and provide disclosures in accordance with policy.
- Provide information to members concerning membership eligibility, account types, loan products, services, and benefits; listen actively and offer appropriate products and services; increase cross‑sales and member referrals; consistently meet or exceed performance goals.
- Receive and process member financial transactions such as deposits, withdrawals, transfers, payments, money orders, cashier’s checks, and gift cards; handle basic account inquiries; manage check hold decisions and knowledge of related regulations.
- Maintain operational integrity of personal cash drawer, vault, TCD; understand audit policies and procedures.
- Maintain and enhance membership through sales and courtesy calls aimed at retention and new business.
- Maintain knowledge of BSA and Patriot Act.

- Perform other job‑related duties such as teller functions as assigned.
- Adhere to all major duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of policies, procedures, and industry trends.
- Perform member service functions efficiently and accurately.
- Demonstrate knowledge of credit union products.
- Balance cash drawer proficiently; avoid outages or fraud.
- Achieve minimum 100% on individual production goals.
- Seek sales opportunities to cross‑sell or refer members.
- Troubleshoot and resolve member and internal inquiries promptly.
- Maintain business‑like appearance and uphold image standards.
- Maintain open communication across departments.
- Maintain dependable attendance and timeliness.
- Complete other assigned tasks.
- One year of similar or related experience.
- High school education or GED.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Basic knowledge of credit union systems, products, and services.
- Familiarity with regulations:
Reg CC, Truth in Savings, Truth in Lending, CIP, BSA, Patriot Act. - Strong written and oral communication skills; proficiency in Word, Outlook, Excel.
- Ability to work independently.

- Finger dexterity for typing, using office equipment.
- Repetitive motion with wrists, hands, fingers.
