Overview
The Food & Beverage Concession/ Beverage Cart Attendant provides service to golfers while they are on the golf course to exceed expectations.
Essential Duties- Provides service to golfers while they are on the golf course to exceed expectations.
- Answers questions that the guests may have about the golf courses or facilities.
- Sells sandwiches and drinks to golfers.
- Maintains proper stock levels on refreshment cart.
- Seasonal position typically working through December; and limited schedule January and February.
- Final candidates are to present a valid driver's license which is to be no older than 30 days, issued by the same state as the driver’s license. New residents must obtain a Virginia driver’s license within 30 days.
- Applicants must be 21 years of age according to A.B.C. § 4.1-307
- Previous bartender experience would be helpful
- Previous cash handling experience preferred
- Golf knowledge is helpful
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule (Schedule could start as early as 6 a.m. and end as late as 9 p.m.);
- Must be available to work all Holidays and weekends
- Ability to work outdoors; in all kinds of weather.
- Excellent verbal communications skills.
- Excellent public contact skills.
- Ability to work independently in a stressful situation. Ability to serve guests in a quick manner
- High school diploma or G.E.D.
- Physical requirements include but are not limited to: (1) bending; (2) lifting; (3) ability to transport 50 pounds
NOTE: In accordance with Virginia A.B.C. § 4.1-225 Colonial Williamsburg prohibits employment of anyone in an alcohol serving position who has been convicted of a felony, any crime involving moral turpitude (lying, cheating, or stealing), or a drug-related offense within the past five (5) years.
This is a non-exempt position, eligible to receive overtime in accordance with the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA). This position may be subject to overtime during high peak times, etc. as directed and approved by the supervisor.
