Aboutthe Position
Assists the Senior Banquet Manager in supervising the Banquet House cleaner department to ensure the continual cleanliness and attractiveness of the Lodge Conference Center (Inside and Outside) and Woodland’s Conference Center (Inside and Outside) to meet quality standards for all conference-related functions.
Responsibilities- Supervises the activities of the Lodge Conference Center Banquet House cleaner staff to ensure work assignments are completed in a timely and efficient manner in line with standards and customer expectations.
- Monitors the quality of service during functions and takes the initiative to resolve any issues or complaints; ensures management is aware of problems.
- Follows schedules adhering to staffing and budgetary guidelines.
- Aggressively monitors labor and department expenses according to business volume and needs.
- Calls for repair of facilities and equipment with Maintenance or Lodge Housekeeping.
- Ensures supplies and equipment are adequate; arranges supplemental equipment with Senior Banquet Manager.
- Works with conference services, chefs, clients, and lodge banquet department to design and implement event set up.
- Identifies benchmark standards, implements appropriate standards, and administers department policy.
- Attends regular daily and weekly assigned meetings.
- Meets with conference clients in pre-conference meetings and monitors onsite set-ups to ensure client satisfaction.
- Inspects conference room set-ups daily to ensure standards are met.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
High school diploma or G.E.D. with 3 months of experience.
Preferred QualificationsPrevious extensive banquet set-up experience.
Qualifications- Copy of Virginia DMV motor vehicle record required.
- High school diploma or G.E.D.
- Knowledge of various banquet room sets.
- Outstanding interpersonal and public contact skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to supervise and train banquet house cleaner employees.
- Works independently and within a team environment.
- Fluency in English (reading, speaking, writing).
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Clear communication and follows directions.
- Positive, confident manner in listening and speaking.
Regular/Full Time.
Compensation DisclaimerRange: $21,000 to $26,000.
