Position Summary
Help shape the associate experience at Walmart’s Williamsburg, VA Import Campus as a People Partner (Human Resource Manager). In this strategic, high-impact role, you’ll advise leaders, translate operational priorities into workforce plans, and strengthen culture through belonging, accountability, and continuous improvement. You’ll use data and strong judgment to improve talent outcomes, elevate leadership capability, and ensure compliant, seamless people operations—while helping the campus deliver on business goals.

Whatyou’ll do
- Lead and execute the People strategy aligned to campus operational goals, culture, and workforce sustainability.
- Use people data and trends to identify risks and opportunities and drive measurable improvements in engagement and organizational health.
- Coach leaders on hiring, onboarding, performance management, development, and succession planning.
- Resolve associate relations concerns with fairness, consistency, and partnership with subject‑matter experts.
- Ensure compliant, effective people operations across staffing, transfers, terminations, benefits, payroll, and HR systems.
- Experience advising leaders on workforce planning, talent decisions, and organizational effectiveness in a complex operation.
- Demonstrated capability in associate relations investigations and employment guidance using sound judgment and confidentiality.
- Working knowledge of HR compliance requirements (policy, safety/quality standards, and applicable employment laws).
- Strength in using people metrics to diagnose issues, prioritize initiatives, and track outcomes.
- Proven ability to develop leaders and mentor HR team members in a high‑performance environment.

Annual salary range: $84,000.00 – $. Additional compensation may include performance bonuses, regional pay zone adjustments, and stock options.
Minimum Qualifications- Bachelor’s Degree in business or a related field and 2 years’ HR generalist experience (e.g., payroll, workers’ compensation, benefits) with at least one year supervising, evaluating, mentoring, and developing employees; managing workload; and participating in the hiring and promotion of employees; OR 1 year’s experience as a Walmart Logistics Human Resources Area Manager or Walmart Human Resources Office Manager supervising, evaluating, mentoring, and developing associates;
managing associate workload; and participating in the hiring and promotion of associates, including dealing with employment compensation/payroll processing, employee relations, recruiting/staffing, organizational planning, and/or training and development programs; OR 3 years’ experience supervising, evaluating, mentoring, and developing employees, managing workload; and participating in the hiring and promotion of employees including one year of experience managing human resource processes (e.g., staffing, payroll, workers’ compensation, benefits).
