Electronic Technician (Marine Navigation Systems) - Direct Hire

Williamsburg, VA
Pay Rate: $70,000 - $80,000/year

Schedule:

Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM

Are you an experienced electronics technician looking for a unique career that combines advanced technology, networking, and marine navigation systems? Join a team responsible for maintaining critical shipboard electronics, communication systems, and navigation equipment supporting global operations.

• Maintain and troubleshoot shipboard navigation, communication, CCTV, automation, and safety systems
• Support and maintain computer networks and IT systems while following cybersecurity protocols
• Assist with maintenance of radar, GPS, ECDIS, and dynamic positioning systems
• Perform upgrades and repairs on electronic and computer-based equipment
• Coordinate and oversee electronic system work during shipyard maintenance periods
• Manage equipment inventories and documentation
• Support offshore deployments and vessel operations as needed

• Associate degree in Electronics Technology, Computer Science, equivalent military training, or related experience
• 5+ years of experience troubleshooting and maintaining electronic equipment
• Experience with computer network administration
• Ability to read and interpret electronic schematics
• Knowledge of RS-232, RS-422, and RS-485 communication protocols preferred
• Experience with marine navigation systems preferred
• Security+ and GROL certifications preferred (GROL required after hire)
• Must be eligible to obtain a U.S. Department of Defense security clearance

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to work aboard vessels and travel internationally
• Capable of extended offshore deployments, up to two months at a time
