VHB’s Mid‑Atlantic Geomatics Team is seeking a Geomatics Director to lead its dynamic group serving Virginia and the District of Columbia. The director will oversee program and project management, supervise the Survey/Geomatics team across these locations, and serve as a key conduit between regional leadership and technical staff.

• Develop and support service line strategies aligned with VHB’s strategic plan and regional business planning.
• Align service offerings to market requirements.
• Collaborate with regional leadership to identify new services or skills.
• Develop growth plans and identify market opportunities and strategies, including key hires and business development.
• Promote awareness of available technologies within the Geomatics team.
• Deploy leading‑edge work processes, technologies, and applications to execute projects more effectively.
• Develop client solutions that leverage data and technologies.
• Develop and implement consistent work processes and standards with leadership groups.
• Implement quality plans with discipline groups.
• Review client and quality audit feedback and implement best practices regionally.
• Create project plans, identify and organize resources, and execute projects to completion.
• Monitor project budgets, scopes, and schedules.
• Promote work sharing across offices and advise on staff deployment for major projects.
• Manage a team of Geomatics professionals, including hiring, training, performance evaluation, coaching, and discipline.
• Participate in professional and personal development aligned with career goals.

• Skills and knowledge commensurate with required experience and job level.

• 15+ years of experience managing Survey/Geomatics projects, including 10+ years of client, staff and project management.
• BS in Survey Engineering, Geomatics, Geographic Information Systems, Engineering, Reality Capture or related field.
• VA Land Surveyor license required.
