One Child Center for Autism is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization located in Williamsburg, Virginia, dedicated to supporting children and families affected by autism and other developmental differences. The center offers a range of services, including Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), Occupational Therapy, Speech-Language Therapy, and other specialized programming. The Executive Director is a full-time, on-site leadership role based in Williamsburg, VA, responsible for overseeing all aspects of organizational operations and strategic direction. This role includes managing programs and services, supervising staff, and ensuring high-quality care for children and families. The Executive Director will lead budgeting and financial management, support fundraising and grant activities, and maintain compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards.
Day-to-day responsibilities include collaborating with clinical and administrative teams, building community partnerships, reporting to the Board of Directors, and representing the organization in public and professional settings. The position also involves setting organizational goals, monitoring performance, and fostering a positive, inclusive workplace culture.
- Demonstrated leadership and management skills, including team supervision, performance oversight, and organizational planning.
- Experience in nonprofit administration, program development, and working with a Board of Directors or similar governance structure.
- Knowledge of autism services, developmental differences, or related fields such as ABA, occupational therapy, or speech-language therapy.
- Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, financial reporting, and responsible stewardship of organizational resources.
- Proven ability in fundraising, grant writing, donor relations, and community outreach.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and relationship-building skills with staff, families, partners, and stakeholders.
- Commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and non-discriminatory practices in service delivery and employment.
- Bachelor’s degree in nonprofit management, business, social work, education, healthcare administration, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Relevant experience in a leadership role within healthcare, human services, education, or a similar mission-driven organization.
- Ability to work on-site in Williamsburg, VA, with flexibility to attend occasional evening or weekend meetings and events.
