We are seeking a Medical Material Supervisor to support our client site in Williamsburg, Virginia. The successful candidate will possess strong leadership skills, medical logistics experience, and a commitment to delivering best-in-class service and operational excellence.
Position SummaryThe Medical Material Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all medical logistics, warehouse operations, inventory management, and biomedical equipment maintenance activities performed under the contract. This position ensures contractual compliance, operational effectiveness, mission success, and customer satisfaction through effective leadership, communication, and performance management.
The Medical Material Supervisor must be available Monday through Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 3:0 p.m., excluding federal holidays and government facility closures.
Key Responsibilities Leadership and Program Oversight- Provide leadership and direction to ensure successful execution of all contract requirements within the assigned Area of Responsibility (AOR).
- Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.
- Maintain effective communication with government representatives, customers, subcontractors, and company leadership.
- Identify operational challenges and implement timely corrective actions.
- Develop and maintain succession plans for key personnel positions.
- Oversee daily warehouse, inventory, and medical material management operations.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, standard operating procedures, and contractual requirements.
- Manage preventive and predictive maintenance activities associated with biomedical equipment and warehouse assets.
- Establish, monitor, and report Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Analyze operational performance and implement process improvements.
- Manage subcontractor performance to ensure quality, timeliness, and compliance.
- Supervise, mentor, and develop personnel to maximize performance and engagement.
- Coordinate recruitment, onboarding, training, and certification requirements.
- Conduct employee performance evaluations and provide coaching and feedback.
- Administer corrective and disciplinary actions when necessary.
- Promote employee retention and professional development initiatives.
- Demonstrated leadership and supervisory experience in medical logistics, warehouse operations, healthcare support services, maintenance, or related environments.
- Strong knowledge of inventory management, supply chain operations, and warehouse best practices.
- Excellent communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and SharePoint.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced operational environment.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required;
Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred. - Minimum seven (7) years of experience in medical logistics, supply chain management, warehouse operations, or related fields.
- Previous supervisory or team leadership experience preferred.
- Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
