We are looking for a Superintendent to supervise and drive plant process optimization in the chemical processing area. This role focuses on safety, process improvement, and operational efficiency across multiple plant functions.

Primary Purpose Of The Position Responsible for supervising and driving plant process optimization for the functional area assigned. Essential Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and secure work environment; correct unsafe acts/conditions, facilitate monthly safety meetings, perform monthly safety inspections, and investigate accidents.
• Support development, implementation, maintenance, and ongoing improvement of the food safety system.
• Ensure round‑the‑clock efficient operations for the assigned process area.
• Manage resources and activities for the functional area or assigned process.
• Supervise plant process team members.
• Establish maintenance procedures on equipment including planning, budgeting, execution, and periodic review.
• Plan, administer, and manage the budget for the assigned process area.
• Apply knowledge of the functional area to conduct system and process analysis, identify opportunities for improvement, and make recommendations to management.
• Diagnose problem areas and develop & implement corrective action plans.
• Participate in designing and overseeing new systems and processes to improve plant performance (safety, quality, productivity, cost reduction).
• Collect and organize data to generate and maintain reports and schedules related to the functional area.
• Coordinate and apply maintenance techniques to reduce maintenance and repair costs.
• Ensure an adequate level of supplies, materials, and parts to avoid operational interruptions.
• Arrange for proper maintenance and upgrade of equipment.
• Arrange for training of employees on maintenance programs and procedures.
• Access, input, and retrieve information from computer systems.
• Initiate, review, master, and follow all standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Communicate with the emergency coordinator (EC) or Environmental Focal Point/Manager regarding environmental management activities.
• Respond effectively to EC directions during emergencies; implement contingency plans as required.
• Complete and maintain environmental documentation (inspections, labeling, record keeping, equipment maintenance).
• Comply with established safety practices, policies, and procedures.
• Recognize waste streams and minimize waste generation through prudent use of materials and proper disposal.
• Comply with environmental regulations concerning hazardous and non‑hazardous materials and wastes.

Position Requirements , Experience & Skills

• Bachelor’s or related field education; or equivalent work experience.
• At least 5 years of related job experience.
• Strong analytical, evaluation, and adaptation skills in plant production, chemical process, and warehouse techniques.
• Negotiation skills with contractors for facilities/building maintenance.
• Basic arithmetic, geometric, and algebraic calculations.
• Confidential handling of sensitive proprietary information.
• Awareness of hazardous waste management and environmental requirements; attendance of training sessions.
• Functional computer usage.
• Ability to perform assignments directed by management.
• Adherence to company policies, procedures, and standards.
• Professional competence, ethical integrity, knowledge, and skills.
• In‑depth knowledge of production processes, product specifications, equipment technology, and supervisory practices.

Other Requirements

• Works in both office and manufacturing environments.
• Exposed to occupational hazards: high noise, physical obstacles, chemicals.
• Wears appropriate safety gear (glasses, hearing protection, clothing, footwear) and follows safety practices.

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary range: $85,000 – $119,890, adjusted for education, experience, and other factors.
• Eligible for annual incentive compensation plan.
